Skoola Terms of Service

Effective:

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Skoola (“Skoola,” “we,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Skoola website, mobile applications, or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use Skoola.

  1. Introduction & Acceptance

Skoola is a digital platform that helps campuses manage attendance, distribute learning materials, and promote engagement. Your use of Skoola constitutes acceptance of these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies referenced herein. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, please refrain from using Skoola.

  2. Registration and Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it promptly if it changes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Sharing your account or login credentials with others is prohibited. Skoola may suspend or terminate your account if the information you provide is incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading.

  3. Privacy Policy

Our data practices are described in the Skoola Privacy Policy. By using Skoola, you consent to the collection and use of information as outlined in that policy.

  4. Permitted and Prohibited Uses

You agree to use Skoola only for lawful and authorized purposes.

    Permitted uses include:

    • Accessing courses, attendance tools, and resources provided to you.
    • Submitting assignments, polls, or feedback relevant to your academic work.
    • Communicating respectfully with other members of your institution.

Prohibited actions include, but are not limited to:

    • Violating any applicable law, regulation, or campus policy.
    • Uploading or sharing violent, harassing, defamatory, or obscene content.
    • Spamming, phishing, or sending unauthorized communications.
    • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to Skoola or interfering with its operations.
    • Reverse engineering, copying, or tampering with the service or its data.

Skoola reserves the right to remove content, suspend access, or take other appropriate action if we determine a violation has occurred.

  5. Content Ownership & Intellectual Property

Skoola, together with our licensors and content providers, owns all intellectual property rights in the platform, including the software, interface design, course materials made available through Skoola, logos, trademarks, and other proprietary content. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Skoola materials without our prior written consent.

  6. User-Generated Content

Skoola enables students and faculty to post comments, submit assignments, and share other content. You retain ownership of the materials you upload but grant Skoola a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely for operating and improving the service. You represent that any content you submit does not infringe or violate the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

  7. Payment & Pricing

Many Skoola features are currently offered without charge. Skoola may introduce premium offerings or paid services in the future. If fees are required, we will disclose accepted payment methods, applicable currency, and billing terms. Unless otherwise mandated by law, payments are non-refundable. You agree to pay any applicable taxes or charges associated with paid services.

  8. Account Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, applicable laws, or other policies. Termination may occur without notice when necessary to protect Skoola or other users. You may request account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@skoola.com or by submitting a request through the Account Deletion page. Fees paid prior to termination are non-refundable, and you remain responsible for any outstanding balances.

  9. Limitations of Liability

Skoola provides the service “as is” and disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Skoola and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Skoola in the three months preceding the incident giving rise to the claim. You acknowledge that online services carry inherent risks, and you use Skoola at your own discretion.

  10. Third-Party Links

Skoola may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not control or endorse such websites and are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices. You access third-party resources at your own risk and should review their applicable terms and policies.

  11. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are made, we will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated “Effective” date and may provide additional notice via email or in-app messages. Continued use of Skoola after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

  12. Contact & Grievances
